In one of his poems, Jorge Luis Borges says that mirrors do not reflect the world but rather "copy the fiction of things." Photography has historically been associated with the idea of a "mirror." However, if it truly shares a connection with mirrors, it does so in a manner akin to the Borgesian perspective.
