Taking Flight

I took some pictures at this same place, then went home, looked at them, and they looked just like many others I’d seen of this spot in Cefalù. Afterward, I spent a lot of time thinking about how I could subvert those images. That led me to the idea of unframing the body in order to reframe the scene. The next day, I returned to the beach — and this is the result.
