Where does one body end and another begin? Each body does not exist independently but rather in relation to others. These bodies are not confined by skin—whether the skin of a human, of a stone, or of a tree. They leak, “discharging through the surfaces that form temporarily around them” (Tim Ingold).

This photo, taken during a playful day with my children in a Berlin forest, is part of my research on world-making practices. My aim is not to view the world as a stage on which human actions unfold, but to consider how each body, each materiality—human or non-human—and even the world itself are continuously brought into being through an endless mesh of relations.
