In my street photography, some images may appear digitally manipulated, but I don’t use image-altering technologies beyond basic adjustments. I enjoy this ambiguity because it prompts viewers to question whether these scenes are real or not.
Even in the most spontaneous shots, street photography never objectively depicts reality. The camera and photographer inevitably shape what’s captured—perspective, framing, and composition all influence how a scene is perceived.
Moreover, reality isn’t just a passive entity waiting to be captured; it’s continuously constructed and reconstructed through our everyday experiences of realization.
